White Insurrection

I don't know about you, but I felt like I was watching the LIE of "Birth of a Nation" replaying itself all over again on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  Only, instead of White fools in black face raiding the House, it what White fools wearing buffalo skins and war paint.  It makes me very sad.  But for the fact that these people want Black people, immigrants and Jews and Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ people dead, I empathize with their feeling of being underclass and under nourished.  They have been lied to.  Drumpf and his billionaire buddies are pilfering their pockets and scapegoating the rest of us.  Those 130 plus Republicans in the House that objected to the election results, even after their halls were ransacked, are complicit in those lies for their own political gain.  Apparently, truth is not an option.  It will not set us free.  We've been here before.  If Reconstruction is any gauge of where we are headed, this nation is screwed. 

At least, Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Osoff won in Georgia.  Hopefully broad coalitions of democratic people can continue to dismantle mechanisms of voter suppression.....
