Happy Birthday, Honey

Dave's Birthday was Suh-Weeet.

The pictures of the day loaded backwards, so you're going to have to think of it like "Momento" or that crazy episode of Seinfeld, where Kramer's lollipop keeps getting bigger.  If you're too young to know what I am talking about, "Fa-get about it".

The day ended with cold noodle soup, pork rice soup and the best Mung Bean pancakes I've ever had in my life.

Haechi Seoul

We went to the library.  Dave worked remotely.  The kiddos and I read English Language books, which were conveniently located in the front.

Have you ever hear of Pink Fong?  If you are a parent or Guardian, you have probably seen the "Baby Shark (do do, do do do doo)" video.

It's nice to see books like "Pride" about Harvey Milk and "Sulwe" by Lupita Nyong'o in Korean Public Libraries.

The inscription on the bottom says, "Haechi Seoul is an imaginary creature (a unicorn lion) that helps to realize justice and bring safety and harmony.". There are twin statues of this unicorn lion put outside the National Palace gate.

We walked along a stream or canal, on the way to the library.  Lazlo spotted a couple egrets.

Chillin' after a satisfying lunch.

For lunch we had Sundubu and Mung Bean Paste Soup, at this hole-in-the wall Bone Stew place near our Green Korean Language School.

So good.

This is Dave and the kiddos, as we headed for school.  It's around the corner from our Airbnb Hongdae, Mapo gu.

Aaaaah, Soju.  Cheers, my love!

Happy Birthday.
